The Downtown District of Fargo is pleased to welcome Scott Normandin to the new Downtown Resource Officer position. Scott will take the position of the evening DRO.
“Scott and I will work closely together to make the downtown area a more safe and vibrant place for residents, workers and tourists. I’m glad to have him on board,” Officer Todd Wahl, morning DRO.
Scott has worked in the downtown area for about 3 years and was selected last year to be the DRO and he started this March. “I love the challenge of downtown and working with the business owners.”
Fargo Police Department has made it their mission to help promote a revitalized, safe and clean downtown that will appeal to citizens and visitors.
Scott has played a lot of different rolls in the department, one was a Police Training Officer for a little over 5 years. He has also been part of the Peer Assistance Crisis Team for about 6 years and part of the Crisis Intervention Team, for about 3 years.
Scott attended Alexandria Technical College for the two year program where he obtained his associates degree in Law Enforcement.
